Counter-Terrorism Forces Arrest Wanted ISIS Operative
Following close surveillance and the collection of detailed intelligence, forces of the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism successfully arrested a wanted terrorist suspect.
The detainee was a member of the ISIS terrorist organization and had operated within what was known as Division 210. His father was also affiliated with ISIS in the so-called North Baghdad Province, where he served as the commander of a military detachment before later being appointed as the so-called Wali of Fallujah.
The detainee’s father was killed in an airstrike in Abu Ghraib district, while one of his brothers was killed by security forces in the Niba’i area.
Following the collapse of ISIS, the detainee moved to the city of Sulaymaniyah and settled there. At the same time, he continued his activities as an active member of the organization within the Sulaymaniyah area until he was arrested by counter-terrorism forces.
